Music has been proven to help people with alzheimer’s feel happy and reignite old memories. So, we created the Music for Memory Concert for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, and to help raise iPod Shuffles for therapy.

ACTIVATION
MUSIC MEMORY CONCERT – SPIRIT OF JOHN
Held at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, John Mann of Spirit of the West, who publicly announced his early-onset Alzheimer's diagnosis less than a year prior, headlined the event.
Joining John was host Alan Cross of The Edge and History of New Music, and many other musical guests, including Molly Johnson, Royal Wood, Andy Maize and Josh Finlayson from Skydiggers, Tom Wilson, Kevin Kane and more. The concert sold out and raised over $10,000, all purely for the purchase of iPod Shuffles.
The iPod served as a virtual ticket, allowing one donation to grant access to the Music for Memory (Spirit of John) concert.
Donation boxes to promote the cause and collect iPods were also strategically placed at Long & McCquade music stores.
COMMEMORATIVE POSTERS
To encourage donations, we also commissioned designers from around the world to create limited-edition posters. Concertgoers could trade in a shuffle for the design of their choice.
